Bible Verses About Love

Christians often talk about the love of God, but what does that really mean? The Bible has a lot to say about love, and it can be divided into two categories: love for God and love for others. When we love God, we keep His commandments (1 John 5:3). This means that we put Him first in our lives and seek to please Him above all else. It also means that we love others the way He has loved us (John 13:34-35). Christ died for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8), and that is the perfect example of how we are to love others.

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father a is not in them.
