Bible Verses About Children

How great is it to know that we can become children of God? It’s a wonderful privilege that God extends to us, and it’s something that we should all aspire to. Becoming a child of God is a process that starts with repenting of our sins and asking God for forgiveness. Once we’ve done that, we need to commit our lives to follow Jesus Christ. As we do that, we’ll grow closer to God and begin to experience His love for us in a deeper way. And that’s just the beginning! As we continue to grow in our relationship with God, He will work in us and through us.

We become children of God through Baptism, which is a sacrament of initiation into the Christian faith. In Baptism, we are cleansed of original sin and made new creatures in Christ. We receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, who makes us members of the Body of Christ, the Church. As children of God, we are called to grow in holiness and to love God with our whole hearts.

The Old Testament offers many stories and examples of how children are to be treated. In the Ten Commandments, for example, God clearly states “Honor your father and your mother” (Exodus 20:12). This shows that children are to respect their parents and elders. Additionally, the book of Proverbs offers many verses on the importance of raising children correctly, such as “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it” (Proverbs 22:6). These verses show that the Old Testament offers clear guidance on how children are to be treated.

The new testament has a lot to say about children. For example, in Matthew 18:2-5, Jesus says that children are important to God and that we should take care of them. In Mark 10:13-16, Jesus says that children are a blessing from God and that we should not hinder them from coming to Him. In Luke 18:15-17, Jesus says that we should receive children in His name and not cause them to sin.
