What is Courage?
The Bible speaks often of courage, and it is clear that God values this virtue highly. In the book of Joshua, we see that Joshua was a man of great courage. He led the Israelites into battle against the Canaanites, and he was victorious. In the book of Judges, we see another example of courage in the story of Gideon. Gideon led his people to victory against the Midianites, even though they were outnumbered. In both of these stories, we see that God was with those who were courageous. He gave them the strength to overcome their enemies.

She was chosen to be the queen, and when she learned that the king was planning to exterminate all the Jews in the kingdom, she risked her life to save her people. Esther courageously went before the king and pleaded for her people, and she was successful in stopping the massacre.
